Responsibilities
- Assist owner/general contractor in the development and implementation of project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with various project stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and clients.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Request for Information), and progress reports.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays; collaborate with project managers to implement corrective actions.
- Organize and schedule regular project meetings, documenting discussions, action items, and decisions.
- Assist in the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage project-related administrative tasks, such as preparing and tracking invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports utilizing the BuilderTrend program.
- Assist in reviewing project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Help ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Support the management of project-related data in project management software and other relevant tools.
- Provide general administrative support to the project team as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a project coordinator or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel, and Google Drive.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Understanding of construction processes, terminology, and best practices.
- Familiarity with construction regulations, codes, and safety standards.
